Thelma K. Bond, 95 of Manchester, NH died March 2, 2007 at Hillcrest Terrace, Manchester. She was born in Derry, NH on March 27, 1911 a daughter of Ernest C. and Cora M. (Berry) Bond. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry Class of 1929. She later graduated from Plymouth State Teachers College and the University of NH. Her teaching career was spent in North Woodstock, Groveton and Portsmouth, NH. She was a member of the NH Retired Teachers Assocation. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Derry where she played the organ for many years. She also held membership in the Mabel Haslam Guild in Derry.
She is survived by her cousin, Irene B. Murphy and by three second cousins and their families. She was predeceased by her sister Mae Bond.
There were no calling hours. Funeral services were held on Tuesday March 6th at 1:30pm in the Church of the Transfiguration, Derry. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Transfiguration, 1 Hood Rd., Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry handled arrangements.
