Belmont-Roger Wilfred Beaudoin, 71, of Gardners Grove Road, died Thursday evening, March 1, 2007 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a brief illness.
Roger was the son of the late Eugene and Beatrice (Gilbert) Beaudoin. He was born in Laconia on February 13, 1936 where he was raised and schooled, living all of his life in Belmont.
Prior to his retirement in 2006, Roger was the proprietor of Roger’s Sport Center on Route 3 in Belmont. He was a member of the Bogey Busters Snowmobile club in Belmont, a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Laconia Council No. 428. He was a graduate of Laconia High School where he enjoyed being a member of the football team.
Roger is survived by his wife of 12 years, Geraldine (Mahoney) Beaudoin of Belmont; three children, Garry E. Beaudoin of Denver, CO, Joyce E. Beaudoin of Derry, NH, and Roy W. Beaudoin and his wife Shawn of Morris, Il; two sister, Irene Lachance and Doris Fecteau both of Laconia; one brother, Roland Beaudoin of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren, Kim, Garry, Brett, Deryk, and Brittany. Many nieces and nephews also survive Roger.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday March 8, 2007 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue Laconia at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Entombment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel, Garfield Street, Laconia to await spring burial in the family lot. Visiting hours were on Wednesday March 7, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Family and friends were invited to attend.
