TEWKSBURY: James W. Raye, age 52, a resident of Tewksbury for 13 years, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at home, following a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Lyn M. (Ferri), with whom he would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on June 21st.
Born in Everett on August 6, 1954, he was the son of Walter Raye of Tewksbury and the late Marjorie (Hayes) Raye.
Mr. Raye was raised in Chelsea.
He was graduated from Dom Savio High School in East Boston in 1972.
Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed as the Northeast Region Marketing Manager for the Prudential Insurance Company in Boston, where he worked for 27 years.
Mr. Raye was a communicant of St. William’s Church of Tewksbury.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by one son, Justyn J. Raye of Tewksbury; one sister, Ellen Costa and her husband Arthur of Tewksbury; one brother, Ronald Raye and his wife Judy of North Reading; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Sunday, March 4th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Monday, March 5th, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
