Mrs. Elissa J. (Lombardi) Circone 94, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly a longtime resident of Franklin, died Sunday February 25, 2007 at the Inn at Sarasota Bay Club, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Guary J. Circone, who died in 1987.
Born in Franklin, June 23, 1912 a daughter of the late Felix and Rosina (Verna) Lombardi, she lived in Franklin for most of her life until relocating to Florida 2 years ago.
She was educated in local schools, and was a retired inspector for the former Kendall Mills Company in Walpole. She also assisted her late husband in the operation of the former Franklin News Company in downtown Franklin.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons and was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Franklin.
She is survived by a son Gary J. Circone of Sarasota, Fla., a daughter Maryanne C. Palladini of Sarasota, Fla., a brother John N. Lombardi of Norwood, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late John J. “Jack” Circone, and the sister of the late Joseph F. Lombardi, Armando Lombardi, Mary DiMarzo, Elaine Lawler and Dora Staniscia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday March 6, 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.oterifuneral.com) with a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery Cemetery.
