SOMERSET -- Agnes Vera Marshalek, age 93 years, of Berkley and formerly of the New Bedford and Dartmouth areas, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Somerset Ridge Nursing Facility in Somerset. She was the wife of the late Russell Marshalek.
Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Mary (Sylvia) Veira. Well known in the New Bedford area, she and her late husband were the owners of the former Grover's Restaurant on Kempton Street.
A member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years, she loved gardening, cooking, birds and nature and spending vacations in New Hampshire.
She is survived by her son, Walter Marshalek of Berkley; her daughter, Alice Sevigny of Fall River; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
Her private arrangements are with the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with burial in Rural Cemetery
