Obituary

Edward J. Wales,59, of 30 Condon Dr., died Monday, Feb. 26 at UMASS
Memorial Hospital - Belmont St., Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Kathleen A. (O'Neill) Wales, a son Thomas E.
Wales, two daughters Suzi A. and Brenda M. Wales all of Spencer, a brother
John R. Wales of Queens, N.Y., nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wales was an automotive mechanic for the Worcester Police Dept. before
retiring in 1990, due to illness. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of
John P. and Mildred (Calhoun) Wales. He later served in the U.S. Air Force
during the Vietnam War.
He was the "best father in the world" and was a "man of many stories".
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 1 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Entombment will follow with
Military Honors in Notre Dame Mausoleum in Worcester. Calling hours for Ed,
are Wednesday from 5 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5th. flr., Boston, Ma.
