TYNGSBORO—Scott E. Record, 48 years old, died Saturday morning at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Cushing) Record, with whom he celebrated 24 years of marriage this year.
He was born in Lowell, on May 10, 1958, a son of Joan (Rourke) Record, of Lowell; and the late Tech. Sergeant William B. Record, who died in 1972. He was a graduate of the Billerica Public School System.
Mr. Record had been employed as a Floor Foreman by the A.P.W. Company, in Hudson, NH until illness forced his retirement 5 years ago. He was the Past Commander of the Sons of the American Legion, in Tyngsboro for 11 years. He was the proud godfather of: Christine, Jennifer, Crystal and Michael.
Surviving him besides his wife and mother are two sons: Scott E. Record, III; and Rory J. Record, both of Tyngsboro; his brothers: Kevin M. Record, of Nashville, TN; and Gary K. Record, of Fall River; a sister: Ruth E. Johnson, of Embden, ME; his godmother: Rosemary Rourke; nieces and nephews: Christine M. Diaz; William P. Record; Jennifer E. Record; Desiree M. Record; Shawn P. Record; Zachary K. Record; Jacob T.W. Record; Holly Anderson; Crystal Languirand; and Betsy Kusa; his step-nephews: Jamie and Chad Rasp; also many grandnieces, grandnephews and many friends.
He was the brother of the late William G. Record and Brian O. Record; and uncle of the late Michael S. Record.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 28th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38), Lowell. His funeral service will be held on Thursday March 1st, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
