Mary M. Dougan
Manchester– Mary Louise (McKeon) Dougan,83, died February 25, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center following a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on April 24, 1923, the daughter of Bertha (Norris) McKeon Richmond, and Thomas J. McKeon. She was also the step daughter of Benjamin P. Richmond.
She attended local schools and graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1940.
She worked at International Shoe Company, and Sundial Shoe Company from 1940 to 1947, at which time she moved to Miami Fla. returning to Manchester in 1954. She was then employed by N.E. Telephone in the Engineering Dept. for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Family members include a son Dr. William R. Dougan of Greenville S.C., a sister Mrs. John (Beatrice) Valavane, of Manchester, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
IN HER LIFE: She leaves a grandson, Benjamin F. Dougan, of Los Angeles, CA.
Services: There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday at 2pm.
