Jennie Fredella, age 99, passed away at the Woodbriar Nursing Facility in Wilmington, on February 23, She was the wife of the late Lorenzo Fredella.
The daughter of the late Giuseppina (Rosa) and Antonio Vella, she came to America at the age of 13, settling in New York were she married Lorenzo. They later moved to Lawrence and finally settled in Medford in 1941. Jennie enjoyed her many friendships at the Medford Senior Citizen Club, her traveling, knitting, the excitement of the Boston Red Sox and most of all her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by three daughters: Phyllis Cain and her husband George of Reading, Josephine Gagnon and her husband Donald of Methuen, Eleanor Alcorn of Underhill, VT and one son: Frank Fredella and his wife Jo of Woburn, Her late beloved son Atty. Anthony Fredella and also her daughter in law Mary Jane Denahey. Jennie also leaves 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit Tuesday from 4 - 8 at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday at 9 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
