Bryan M. Webber, 23, a lifelong resident of Mansfield died on Saturday February 24, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA
Born in Newton, MA on January 15, 1984 he was a beloved son of Michael E. and Elaine P. (Constantino) Webber of Mansfield.
Bryan grew up in Mansfield. He attended Kindergarten to the 5th grade at the Blessed Sacrament School Walpole and Middle School at the Qualters Middle School in Mansfield. As a youth he was an outstanding athlete and was involved in Mansfield sport programs, playing youth soccer, baseball, basketball and Pop Warner football.
He was a member of the class of 2002 at Xaverian Brothers High School. In October of 2000 while a junior attending classes at Xaverian Brothers he suffered cardiac arrest due to a congenital heart disorder. While a student at Xaverian brothers he was a member of the Honors Society, played football and was an avid weight lifter. Bryan later attended the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton.
Bryan had an outgoing personality and would always light up a room or an occasion with his presence. Because of his inspiration, courage and strength he would always attend school functions despite the fact of being wheel chair bound. In 2001 at the Xaverian Brothers Thanksgiving day football game he found the strength to walk onto the field with his teammates where he was presented the game ball. In April of 2002 he received the M.I.A.A. Paul Costello Award.
Although unable to play the sports he loved, Bryan served as a sideline inspiration and role model to his brother and attended all of his football and lacrosse games. His brother was passed down the number 33 which he proudly wore on his football and lacrosse uniforms. This same number was also Bryan’s.
A lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield he was also a former member of the church youth group. He was also a member of the campus ministry at Xaverian Brothers.
Bryan also enjoyed family vacations, the beach and when he was able to drive he loved to cruise in the famous Blue Bomber.
Besides his beloved parents he is survived by his devoted brother Mark C. Webber of Mansfield. His cherished grandmother Jean R. Constantino of Mansfield. Also surviving are his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday February 28th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday February 27th from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
