Dorothy M. Ross, 85, of Londonderry, NH and a formerly of Derry, NH died February 23, 2007 at the Northeast Rehabilitation Health Network in Salem, NH. She was born in Manchester, NH on March 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Florence (Davies) Ela and had lived most of her life in Derry. She was raised on the former Ela family farm. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Agway as an egg inspector. She was an accomplished folk artist and restored clock faces alongside her husband, Robert, who repaired clocks.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Richard & Janice Moore of Londonderry and Carl & Kathy Guinesso of Auburn, NH; several grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Ross in 1994.
Calling hours were on Tuesday, February 27 from noon to 2 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral ceremony followed the calling hours at 2 PM in the funeral home. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
