Anthony DiMascio, of Tewksbury, formerly of Medford, died suddenly on Monday, February 19th. He was 64.
Anthony was born in Italy, the son of the late Giovanni and Anita DiMascio. He arrived in the United States with his parents when he was 6. They first lived in Boston’s North End before settling in Medford. A graduate of the prestigious Boston Latin School, Anthony earned a BA at Northeastern University and then served as a signal corps officer in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his service he worked for nearly 30 years with Gillette, in product and materials management. A member of the ITAM Post in Medford, Anthony recently began the practice of martial arts and was a member of the ATA.
He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Peterson) DiMascio. He was a devoted father to Diana DiMascio and Anthony T. DiMascio, both of Tewksbury. He was a loving grandfather to Leean. He was the dear nephew of Dora Federico and her husband Mario of Norwood and a loving son-in-law of Sophie and Bob Peterson of Medfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Rd., Andover, Tuesday February 27th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Monday from 4 thru 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
