Obituary

SALEM - Steven H. Maki, 55, of Boston, formerly of Salem & Peabody, died Thursday morning, February 22, 2007 at the Saints Memorial Medical Center, Lowell, following a long illness.

Born in Marblehead, he was the son of Johannes J. Maki of Salem and the late Virginia L. (Taylor) Maki. A resident of Salem for many years, and later of Peabody before moving to Boston 5 years ago, he was a graduate of Salem High School.

Mr. Maki was self employed as a carpenter in the North Shore area for many years.

He is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Jacob J. & Jennifer Maki of Salem, one daughter & son-in-law, Jaime S. & Brett Smith of Salem, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gail & Dennis Lockard of Peabody, Laurie Ann Maki of Salem, a logtime friend June Carlson of Peabody and several cousins and nephews. He was the brother of the late Karen Lee Maki.

A graveside committal service will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11 am at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
