Obituary

Grantham, NH-Bernard A. "Bud" Ralph, Jr., 66, of Lakeview Place, Eastman Community, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Lawrence, MA on August 11, 1940 the son of Bernard A. and Esther (Findeisen) Ralph, Sr. He graduated from Lawrence High School where he was a member of the football team, attended the University of Buffalo, and graduated from Salem State College, Salem, MA. Mr. Ralph had been a high school football coach in Methuen and Billerica, MA for several years. He was employed by Syntex Pharmaceutical for 23 years retiring from that job as Regional Sales Director. He then worked for Scios Pharmaceutical Company retiring in 2001. He lived in Yorktown, NY for nine years, Medina, OH for six years, and Beverly Farms, MA for six years before moving to Grantham six years ago. Mr. Ralph was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in New London, NH. He enjoyed sports and watching his children play many different sports. He liked to play golf, ski, sail, bike, and kayak and he also enjoyed playing poker. Members of his family surviving include his wife of 45 years, Jane (Killilea) Ralph of Grantham, NH; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard "Bud" and Michelle Ralph III of Ridgefield, CT, David and Nadine Ralph of Boxford, MA, and Bill and Beth Ralph of Murfreesboro, TN; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Frank Smiser of Grand Rapids, MI; nine grandchildren; his mother, Esther Ralph of Lawrence, MA; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Peg Ralph of Salem, NH; nieces and nephews.

Pollard Funeral Home, 223 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 from 3-6 P.M. and also at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 from 3-6 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Feb. 28, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima, 724 Main Street, New London, NH.
