Christene J. (MacLean) MacDonald a longtime resident of Brighton died on Wednesday, February 21st. She was 79 years old. Born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada, She move to Boston in 1948 and settled in Brighton in 1960. Christene worked as an assembler for Ark-Les Switch Company in Watertown for 35 years. A member of Newton Presbyterian Church since 1961, she was a member of the Ladies General Aid , Harvard Group, the Silver Bells, the bowling league and the helped out at the New 2 You thrift shop at the church. He beloved wife of the late John A. MacDonald, she leaves her children Wayne A. and his wife Bernadette of Billerica, Muriel Carlo and her husband John of Brighton and Debra Grinley and her husband James of Nashua, NH. Grandmother of John W., Kristen, Lora, James, Ian, Brad and Ashley. She was the sister of Beverly O’Malley of Wilmington, Lorraine Donovan of Lowell and the late Mary MacLean. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 11AM at the Newton Presbyterian Church, 75 Vernon St, Newton Corner. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at the Gardens at Gethsemane in West Roxbury. Visiting ours in the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Center St, Newton Corner on Friday from 4-8 PM.
