OBITUARY FOR MRS. MARIE (BATTLE) ROEGER
Mrs. Marie (Battle) Roeger, 89, a resident of Methuen, MA., passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the M.I. Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence, MA.
Born in Lawrence, Mrs. Roeger was educated in the Methuen Schools. She had worked as a Mender in the Arlington Mills and then went on to retire from the North Billerica Mills where she had also worked as a Mender. Mrs. Roeger was a parishioner of St. Monica's Church in Methuen for many years.
The widow of William E. Roeger, family members include:
A son: William A. Roeger and his wife Carolyn of Methuen, MA.
A daughter: Kathleen A. and her husband James A. Doubleday of Hyannis, MA.
as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. in St. Monica's Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
