WESTPORT - Irene P. (Simons) Rocha,83, of Westport, MA. formerly of 56 Kennedy Terrace, Somerset, died Tuesday at home. She was the wife of the late George P. Rocha. She is survived by Two Daughters: Lorraine I. (Moniz) Medeiros of Westport, and Cheryl Lyn (Moniz)Rebello of Somerset; One Step-Daughter: Janet Rocha of Rhode Island; One Brother: Donald Simons of Florida; Three Sisters: Ruth Russo of Connecticut, Arlene Simons of Middletown, R.I., Evelyn Lavoie of Springfield, MA; Four Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, and Several nieces and nephews.
Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Antone Simons and the late Mary (Cabral) Simons. She was a Somerset residence for most her life before moving to Westport. Before retiring, she was a Bookkeeper at Cable Electric Products of R.I. She was a member of the Somerset Council on Aging, and Treasurer for many years.
Her funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. on Monday at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 P.M.
