Mr. Lawrence Pope, Jr., 65, passed away on Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Pope leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Willie Jean Pope; two daughters, Shelia D. Leslie, and Vernessa Gay; three sons, Henry F. Pope, Andre H. Pope, and Norman D. Pope; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five sisters; one brother and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Pope will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday from the Douglas Tabernacle P. B. Church with Elder Robert Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home handling the services. The remains of Mr. Pope will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
