George F. White, Jr., 81, died at the Brockton Hospital on Thursday, February 15 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Madeline (Kent) White. Born in Stoughton, he was the son of the late George F. and Dorothy (Macomber) White. Mr. White was a resident of Brockton for several years after living in Stoughton for many years. Mr. White was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a last worker at Belcher Co. in Stoughton for over 30 years before retiring many years ago. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge in Stoughton and the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton. In his free time he enjoyed working with Ham Radios.
Mr. White is survived by his daughters, Dorothy Benjamin of Canton and Laurie White of Brockton. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
