Obituary

FALL RIVER - Leo A. Schenck,85, of 95 Ballard St., Fall River, died Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital with all of his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (Amaral) Schenck. He is survived by One Son: Stephen L. Schenck of Westport; Two Daughters: Barbara M. Dopart of Somerset, MA. and Susan J. Hayes of Assonet, MA; Two Brothers: George R. Schenck and Raymond A. Schenck both of Fall River, MA; One Sister: Theresa Roe of Fall River; Six Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren, and Several nieces and nephews.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, the son of the late George Schenck and the late Aurore (Bachand) Schenck. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he was a Sail Maker for Thurston Sails in Bristol, R.I. He was a U.S.Army Veteran of WW II, serving with the 112th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Africa and France. He was a member of St. Michael Church.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Friday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Michael Church, Essex St. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
