Dollie Mae Collier was born on August 2, 1929 In Madison County, Alabama to O’Neal and Carrie Cross. She departed this life at Huntsville Hospital on Monday, September 25, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings and one son, Andrew Collier.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Acklin Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a faithful member of the Usher Board, Senior Choir, Missionary Society and a faithful member of Acklin Christian Methodist Episcopal Church until her death.
She was a member of the Murkey Cloud Chapter #86 Order of Eastern Star for many years.
Those who will cherish her memories are one loving son, Columbus (Elizabeth) Collier of Berkley, Alabama; one loving daughter, Peola (James) Cotton of Huntsville, Alabama; one brother, Clifton Cross of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters-in-law: Bertha Cross and Virginia Cross, both of Louisville, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and one very special friend, Mary Collier.
