
Gerald Gloster, 62, was a native of New Orleans. He was a retired mechanical engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense. He passed away Saturday in Birmingham. Mr. Gloster was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Vietnam War and was a former member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Gloster; his grandson, Tory Gloster; and two brothers, George and Joseph Gloster. Survivors include his mother, Irene Peterson; one son, Terry Gloster; three daughters, Alicia Gloster, Cassandra Weakley-Dawson, and Montrae Gloster; and sisters, Rose Riley, Delores Garrison, Mary Peterson Marchand, Wilma Peterson, Coleena Peterson, Rose Peterson, Sharon Peterson and Sandra Peterson. The family also includes a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
