He departed this life at Huntsville Hospital on Monday, July 18, 2006 at 1:00 a.m.
Walter confessed hope in Christ during his stay at Huntsville Hospital.
He was united in holy matrimony to Geneva Hammonds, into this union one child was born. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory: a loving and devoted daughter, Lisa Hammonds of Harvest, Alabama; one granddaughter, Jasmine McRoy of Harvest, Alabama; one uncle, James Rogers of Huntsville, Alabama; a loving and devoted cousin, Louise Cable of Huntsville, Alabama; and one special friend, John Moore, and a host of other relatives and friends
