Mildred H. (Howard) Russell age 77 of Windham, NH, died Thursday at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
She was born in Salem, NH, where she grew up and attended schools, and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1943. She later attended AIC the American International College in Springfield, MA. She had been a resident of Windham, NH for the past 43 years, formerly of Lawrence, MA.
Mrs. Russell first owned and operated Mrs. Russell's Kindergarten in Windham, NH and worked as a teacher. She was one of the founders and very active with the Cub Scout Pack #266 in Windham, NH. Mrs. Russell bowled in the Tuesday morning coffee league at Park Place Lanes in Windham, NH. She was a member of Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Salem, NH, and was an avid sports fan. She was very devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, former Windham, NH School Board Member and Windham Town Moderator William E. Russell of Windham, NH.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
