Daniel P. DeMeo 91 of Papineau Ave. died Thursday at the Philip Hulitar Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Milford MA a son of the late Giovani and Maria (Favoni) DeMeo. Mr. DeMeo was the husband of Jeanne (Lepage) Camilucci DeMeo and the late Pauline (Trotta) DeMeo. He was a Shoe cutter for the former Bickford Shoe Co. in Milford for over twenty years. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
Mr. DeMeo was an avid sports fan especially of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife he leaves a son John DeMeo and his wife Donna of Kingston, NH, a daughter Linda Gross and her husband William of Hopedale, MA, a step son Kenneth Camilucci of Woonsocket and a step daughter Leah Kirk and her husband Andrew of Independence CA., three grandchildren Stephen, Matthew and Andrea, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nancy Longo and Helen Rocha.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Josephs Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Philip Hulitar Center, 50 Maude St. Providence, RI 02908 in his memory would be appreciated.
