Allan B. Clukey, 66, of Derry, NH, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 in his home. Mr. Clukey was born in Dover Foxcroft, ME on July 28, 1940, a son of Lyda E. (Stairs) Clukey and the late Felix J. Clukey. He was a resident of Derry since 1964, formerly living in Dover Foxcroft. He was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy in Dover Foxcroft, Class of 1958. He retired from Pepsi Bottling Group in Manchester, NH after 39 years. Mr. Clukey was previously employed for NH Welding Supply in Nashua, NH, and more recently worked part time for Autofair in Manchester driving vehicles between dealerships. Mr. Clukey enjoyed fishing and tying his own flies, loved the ocean and vacationing during summer in Maine. He also enjoyed drawing pictures for his grandchildren. He was known to be able to "fix just about anything". He was a member and trustee of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Derry.
In addition to his mother of Manchester; he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marilyn J. (Smart) Clukey of Derry; two sons, Mark Clukey of Derry, Timothy Clukey and his wife Melissa of Hillsboro, NH; one daughter, Janine Anderson and her husband Daniel of Derry; six grandchildren, two sisters, Carole Hackert of Manchester, Marcia Currier and her husband Leigh of Londonderry, NH; three nephews, two nieces, four grandnephews and three grandnieces.
Friends called on Wednesday, February 21st from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 63 East Broadway, Derry. The burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fire Alarm Fund at St. Luke’s UMC, 63 East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038, or the Hospice Association of one's choice, or to the American Cancer Society.
