Obituary

William A. “Hash” Hashway 51 of 14 Fall St. died Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Woonsocket a son of Rose Marie (Dauphinais) Hashway Fralix, of Silver Springs, FL., and the late William L. Hashway. Hash lived in Cumberland most of his life, he was a 1974 graduate of Cumberland High School. Hash attended the East Coast Aeronautic School in Lexington MA before joining the Navy. He also served in the Naval Reserves until 1980. For the past several years he was employed as a welder for Coast To Coast and Boiler Maker unions. Hash was a member of COBB, he was an avid biker, fisherman, and NHRA drag racing enthusiast.

Besides his mother he leaves a fiancé Celine Krajczynski of Woonsocket, a daughter Joslyn Cochrane and her husband Douglas of Bellingham, two grandsons Andrew and Ryan, five brothers Michael, Jeffrey and Matthew “Spogga” Hashway all of Cumberland, Dennis Hashway of Seekonk, and David Hashway of N. Smithfield, a step-father Will Fralix of Silver Springs FL, four step-brothers Michael and Joseph Fralix both of N.C., Steven and Philip Fralix both of FL and a step-sister Dianne Martin of MD, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in St. Josephs Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Calling Hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
