Nicholas J. Grieco, age 70, of Medford and Ashland, died February 14th unexpectedly. He was the beloved husband of Ruth P. (Pitegoff). Born in Somerville and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Grieco.
Mr. Grieco was a retired technical writer and worked for Draper Labs of Cambridge for twelve years. He also served as Lieutenant with the Medford Special Police and has served with them for the past 30 years. Mr. Grieco loved gardening, cooking, bird watching and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife Ruth, Nicholas is survived by his sisters, Frances Podesta and her husband Robert of Randolph, Anna Keeley and her husband John of Medford. He was the cherished son-in- law of Dr. and Mrs. Charles and Elaine Pitegoff of Brookfield, CT and brother-in-law of Miriam and John Stein of Brookfield, CT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Frank Grieco.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
