Obituary

Salem: Concetta P. (Monteleone) Giangregorio, age 37, of Salem died Monday, February 12, 2007, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a courageous year and a half struggle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Jason E. Giangregorio, with whom she shared 5 1/2 years of marriage and was the devoted mother of her 2 children Juliet age 4 1/2 and Aedan age 2.
Born in Malden, she was the loving daughter of Anthony and Paula (Indomenico) Monteleone of Winthrop and devoted much of her time and energy in assisting them. Concetta displayed a zest for life, and laughter was always the order of the day. Her delight was to gather at a favorite restaurant with family and friends and enjoy good food and good wine. She also loved to travel and would do so at a moments notice. Traveling with her young children was never an issue. A walk in the woods would become an adventure and often ended in a picnic lunch.
Concetta’s devotion to her husband, children and extended family was always on display and was confirmed by the sparkle in her eyes whenever she was with them. Always ready to read to her children or to play a game with them, her energy and spirit will be greatly missed.
Concetta had a special place in her heart for her 2 sisters: Lucia and Annette Monteleone both of Winthrop and her 2 nephews: James Celona & Massimo Selaya-Mendez and her mother-in-law and father-in-law John and Julie Soderblom of Salem.
Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on behalf of the children, c/o Jason Giangregorio, at Wellness Today, Suite 205, 17 Front St., Salem, MA 01970.
