WORCESTER-Madeline “Lynne” M. Cushing, 58, of 139 Vernon Street died Tuesday, February 13th in her home. She is survived 2 brothers, Donald F. Cushing and his wife Kathy of Dudley and Richard J. Cushing and his wife Helen of Oakham; several nephews and nieces and a close friend, Daniel Hickey of Worcester.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Donald P. and Madeline M. (Shine) Cushing. Lynne was a 1966 graduate of Doherty High School and a 1968 graduate of Quinsigamond Community College. She was formerly employed by Mass Electric as a troubleshooter. Lynne was a loyal and active volunteer for many local political campaigns over the years and was highly interested in the politics and the news of the day. She enjoyed following several sports teams. Travel was a favorite pastime and Lynne always enjoyed the summertime seashores of both Northern and Southern New England.
The funeral is Saturday, February 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral.
