Obituary

Mrs. Claire L. (Richard) St. Germain 88, of Centerville, and a former longtime Franklin resident, died Wednesday February 14, 2007 at the Cape Regency Nursing Home in Centerville, following an extended period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Lionel “Leo” St. Germain, and the late Andrew J. Coutu, who died in 1978.
Born in Millbury, January 4, 1919 a daughter of the late Charles and Alida (Demers) Richard, she was raised in Franklin and lived here most of her life until moving to the Cape 18 months ago.
Until her retirement, she worked for 10 years as an assembler at the former Corningware Company in Medfield.
Mrs. St. Germain was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was an associate member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by 2 sons, Ronald A. Coutu and his wife Bonnie, of Centerville, Philip E. Coutu and his wife Dottie of Old Town, Florida, 2 sisters Theresa C. Borruso and Jeanne Laliberte both of Franklin. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Rosemarie Bynum and Richard Coutu, and was the sister of the late Margaret McWilliams, Lillian Garneau and Armand Richard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday February 19th 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral home 33 Cottage St. with a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday February 18, 2007 from 3-6PM at the funeral home.
