Richard A. Chuckran, a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, died on Feb. 13, 2007 at his home. He was 71.
Born, raised & educated in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Samuel & Rose (Papi) Chuckran.
He was the owner & operator of Chuckran’s Salvage Yard in Bridgewater that he started at the age of 14 with his father.
He was a member of the Puritan Lodge AF & AM in Whitman as well as the Fellowship Lodge in Bridgewater, the Shriner’s & the Eagles Club in Port Orange, Fl,.
He was a conservationalist who enjoyed gardening, animals, rolling the dice & collecting antique cars.
Husband of Patricia (Tanguay). Father of Catherine Chuckran of East Bridgewater, Curtis Chuckran of Astor, Fl, & Alan Chuckran of Bridgewater. Brother of Samuel Chuckran of Apache Junction, AZ, & Elizabeth Repetti of Bridgewater. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday in the Prophett Funeral Home 98 Bedford St. (RT 18) Bridgewater at 10:00AM. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours are on Friday from 4-8Pm.
