Obituary

Jeffrey D. “Whale-Man” Hollingdale, 50 of Holliston and formerly of Franklin died suddenly February 13 in his home.
Born in Boston on September 20, 1956, the son of the late John and Norma (Wood) Hollingdale, Mr. Hollingdale was raised and lived in Franklin for many years and had lived in Wilton, Maine for several years before returning to Massachusetts recently.
Mr. Hollingdale worked in the maintenance department at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester for the past year.
He had previously been a hydraulic mechanic in the local area.
He was a member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks.
He enjoyed dirt biking, deep sea fishing, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and disliked all New York Sports teams.
He is survived by his children, Kelsey and Taylor Hollingdale of Wilton, Maine. He is also survived by his brother, John Hollingdale of Franklin.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be private in Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
