Obituary

Richard L. Lacy,, 76, of Inez Drive in North Kingstown, formerly of Putnam Pike, Chepachet, died Monday at Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. He was the husband of the late Virginia E. Lacy.

Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Samuel J. and Mary E. (Burke) Lacy, he was a long time resident of Chepachet. Mr. Lacy was a union mechanic and a lifelong member of the Int’l. Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades. He was also a real estate investor. He served in the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his children, Janet M. Kascenska and her husband Bob, of North Kingstown, Richard J. Lacy and his wife Carolyn, of Providence, Lori A. Lacy of Lincoln, Bradford Lacy of Chepachet, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters, Harriet Bock of Providence, Peggy Duggan of Denver, CO and a brother, Samuel Lacy of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was the brother of the late James, Robert, and Russell Lacy and Anna Wollett.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Eugene Church, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
