Jeannette M. Roy, 90, formerly of Miller St., Millville, died Monday at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Leo O. Roy.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Xavier Francois and Alphonsine (Bernier) Gagnon.
Mrs. Roy worked for U.S. Rubber Co. in Woonsocket for over 20 years. She also worked for Tupperware for several years.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Augustine Church in Millville. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and various puzzles and games.
She is survived by five sons, Louis Roy, of Mapleville, Robert Roy, of Marlboro, MA, David Roy, of Woonsocket, Paul Roy, of North Smithfield, Albert Roy, of Mapleville, three daughters, Alice Mercure, of Millville, Jeanne Bernier, of Blackstone, and Pauline Douthitt, of Oregon. She was the mother of the late Leo J. Roy, and Marie Jackson. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert, Leo, Fred, and George St. George Gagnon, and Hermina Dandeneau, Clara Devaudreville, and Orise St. George.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church, Lincoln St., Millville. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
