Mr. Jean-Guy Gelinas, 58, of 408 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH passed away on Monday February 12, 2007. He was born in East Hereford, PQ, Canada on September 3, 1948 the son of Marcel and Antoinette (Vachon) Gelinas and has lived in the United States since 1980. He had been employed by James River Corporation, Guitabec, USA and Car-Freshener. He was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid outdoorsman and his interests include gardening, fishing and boating.
Members of the family include his wife Lise (Desrosiers) Gelinas of Berlin, NH; 3 daughters Nancy Lacasse and husband John of Berlin, NH, Cindy Bergquist and husband Bart of Berlin, NH and Melanie Gelinas of Augusta, ME; 7 grandchildren Ben, Cassie, Jordan, Aaron, Logan, Emma and Madison; 8 sisters Claudette Couture of Jefferson, NH, Lise Leigh of Florida, Colette Mongeau of Clarksville, NH, Diane Dagesse of Hudson, NH, Carol Dagasse of Nashua, NH, Johanne Labrecque of Magog, PQ, Canada, Sylvie Hamel of Manchester, NH and Maryse Tanguay of Manchester, NH; 1 brother Real Tanguay of Hooksett, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Claude Gelinas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
