TEWKSBURY - L. Janet (Bouchard) Fay, age 73, matriarch of a large well known Tewksbury
family, died Monday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.. She was the wife
of Robert C. Fay, who died in April, 1987.
She was born and raised in Lawrence, a daughter of the late Ray and Louise (Zambino)
Bouchard.
Mrs. Fay was currently employed by Tewksbury Hospital, and was a former Wang Labatories
employee.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Fay was active in veterans and patriotic activities in Tewksbury, an
active member of the Marine Corps League, Women’s Auxiliary, and the St. Andrew’s Bowling
League in North Billerica.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
She is survived by eleven children; Diane Finn and her husband Gerald of Chelsea, Mark Fay his
wife Cathy (Boisvert) of Nashua, NH, James Fay and his wife Patricia (Cremins) of Methuen,
Marion Kyner and her husband Randy of VA, Roberta Carroll of Plainville, Robert Fay Jr. and his
wife Michelle (Barrett) of Salem, NH, Francis Fay and his wife Jocelyn (Luna) of Bedford,
Raymond Fay and his wife Brenda (Bartlett) of Lawrence, Scott Fay and his wife Julie (Smith) of
Groton, Tracey Fay and her fiancé Russell Alley of Tewksbury, William Fay and his wife Anne
(Galloni) of Tewksbury; 28 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces
and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Feb. 17, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial was in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to Tewksbury Hospital, Patient Fund,
c/o Administration, 365 East St., Tewksbury, MA 01876, will be appreciated.
