Anna D. (David) Magaletta, 84, of New Bedford died February 11, 2007 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Michele Magaletta.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel (Mafud) David, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Magaletta was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church and a member of St. Joseph's Sodality.
She was formerly employed as office manager at Ace Auto Body and Modern Motors for many years.
Mrs. Magaletta was a member of the American Lebanese Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 1 Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital and the Paul A. Dever School. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
Survivors include a son, Michele "Mike" Magaletta, Jr., and his wife Denise, of Catonsville, Maryland; two grandchildren, Nasrine Magaletta of Catonsville, and Hanan Magaletta of Connecticut; 2 nieces, Joann David and Lorraine David, both of New Bedford and a nephew, Anthony David, and his wife Judith, of New Bedford; a great-niece, Jordan Hope David.
She was the sister of the late John J. David and aunt of the late Joseph J. David.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, February 16th at 9 AM. Divine Liturgy at Our Lady of Purgatory Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, February 15th from 4-8 PM.
