SANDWICH - Annamarie E. (Spead) Senior, 73, a resident of Sandwich and former longtime Dracut resident, died February 9th at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Senior who died in 2005.
She was born in Lowell on July 24, 1933, and was a daughter of the late Harry F. and Anna J. (Zakoski) Spead. She was a graduate of St. Patrick Grammar School, Lowell High School, and Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Senior was employed for over twenty five years as a Registered Nurse in the operating room at Lowell General Hospital.
She was an artist and an avid fisherman. She enjoyed gardening, boating, being with her grandchildren, and the beauty of the ocean
She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Thomas J. and Joyce Senior of Newburyport, and Patrick H. and Erin Senior of Sandwich; two daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen A. and Joseph Cataldo of North Andover and Christine M. and James Richards of Concord, NH; ten grandchildren Sean and Andrew Senior of Newburyport, Ali and Thomas Senior of Sandwich, Caroline, Julia, and Joseph Cataldo of North Andover, and Patrick, Liam, and Eliza Richards of Concord, NH; a brother Harry J. Spead and his wife Donna of Lowell; a sister Pamela J. Walsh and her husband William of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 4 until 8pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30am followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11am at St. Michael Church, North Andover.
