Marie Bagley
Marie Catherine (Schlaich) Bagley, 84, died Thursday Feb. 8, 2007 at her home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was the wife of the late David J. Bagley who died July, 1995.
She is survived by her son David Bagley of Beverly, her sister Eleanor Thebodo of No Billerica, and her brother Edward Schlaich of Lexington. She was predeceased by her brother William of Lexington. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews.
Marie was born Dec. 6, 1922, and raised in Arlington, Ma, the daughter of the late Agnes B. and William J. Schlaich.
Following marriage to David J. Bagley, they were long time residents of Newton, Ma, prior to moving to New Port Richey, Florida during their retirement years.
During the summers, Marie and David always would return to their cottage at Long Beach, Rockport Ma, and their many friends developed over the years at the beach. And at Summers end, Marie looked forward to her return to New Port Richey Florida, and her many neighbors and friends with whom she shared many precious activities, and memories.
Despite various illnesses and accidents during her later years, Marie was able to live a normal life at home due to the “above and beyond” efforts, time, and assistance rendered by her devoted Nephew/Godson Joseph Michael Bagley Bonacci. Joseph will always be held deeply in the hearts of all family members.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed Feb 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Church Newton. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Wed prior to the Mass from 8 to 10:15 AM.
