Vincent Cuzziere, of Dennis, formerly of Lynnfield and Medford, died Friday morning at his Dennis home, surrounded by a loving family. He was 72.
The son of the late John and Alyce (Vitale) Cuzziere, Vincent was born in East Boston and grew-up in Cambridge. Vincent graduated from Rindge and Latin High School where he was a star on the track team. This combined with his academic talent got him a spot at Harvard University. He graduated with is Bachelor Degree in 1956. Vincent then went on to serve 2 years in the United States Marine Corps. From age 16, Vincent worked for Ginsburg Bros., a company that distributed paper products, formerly located in Somerville and Billerica. He began there as the boy who swept up in the warehouse and rose to become president of the company and a respected friend and colleague among people in his industry. He was also a co-founder of RDA, Redistributors of America. A man with wide and varied interests, Vincent owned the former Fellsway West Restaurant. An avid golfer and traveler, Vincent belonged to the Ferncroft and Bass River Country Clubs. A lover of greyhound racing, Vincent owned his own dogs and C & W Kennels of Lynn. In 2003 Vincent retired from Ginsburg. He and his wife recently settled to the Cape.
He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Grechan) Cuzziere. He was a devoted father to Ellen Giannelli and her husband Michael of Stoneham, Donna Baldassari of Brighton, Michael Cuzziere and Joni Snydeman of Malden, Linda Grubb and her husband Don of Medford, and the late David Cuzziere. He was a loving grandfather to Mark, David, Michael, Erica, Jayson, Cameron and Gillian. He was a dear brother to the late Robert Cuzziere.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
