Thomas M. Fucarile, age 88, a lifelong resident of Woburn, died February 10th at the Winchester Hospital following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Doris M. (Penney). Born and raised in Woburn he was the son of the late Mariano and Mary (Aloy) Fucarile.
Mr. Fucarile was a retired chemical processor and worked for the Monsanto Chemical Co. of Everett for forty-five years. He also worked at the Burlington Mall for twelve years with the Security Dept. Tom loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing over the years. He also loved gardening and sharing his crops with friends and family. Mostly devoted to his family he enjoyed being with his grandchildren and vacationing together in Maine.
Mr. Fucarile was a United States Army Veteran of WWII serving from 1943 to 1946 and was a member of the American Legion post 101.
Along with his beloved wife Doris, he is survived by his children, Thomas Jr. of Boca Raton, FL, Donna Perkins of Woburn, Robert and his wife Beth of Billerica, Marcia Braceland and her husband John of Woburn, and daughter-in-law Nancy Fucarile of Lynnfield. He also survived by his loving grandchildren, Sean and Bryan Fucarile, Lisa and Jacquelyn Perkins, and Stephanie Braceland. He is further survived by his sister Josephine Fucarile of Winchester, brothers, Joseph of Reading and Richard of Woburn. He is predeceased by his sister Rose Bairri.
Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington St. Woburn, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
