Obituary

Worcester—Norma E. (Trinder) Dobie, 99, of 31 Graystone Circle died peacefully February 7, 2007, in Radius Healthcare with her daughter and hospice nurses at her side. Her husband Albert J. Dobie died in 1983. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce A. and Deborah Dobie of West Palm Beach, FL; a daughter, Nancy E. Dobie of Bristol, RI (retired Seekonk, MA teacher); a brother, Robert Trinder of PA; nieces & a nephew. A sister, Kathryn Day, and a brother, Wallace Trinder, predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Wallace S. and Catherine (Mellom) Trinder. She graduated from Major Beal High School in Shrewsbury. Mrs. Dobie was a member of Worcester Women’s Club (40-yr pin), Chaffins Women’s Club, St. Michaels-on-the-Heights Church and its Judith Circle, and the Worcester Art Museum. She also enjoyed singing with the Jenny Lind Chorus at Trinity Lutheran Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michaels-on-the-Heights Church on Wed., Feb. 14, at 11:00 a.m. After cremation, private burial will be in Brookfield Cemetery.
