Helen E. (Hughes) Ciacci, 82, of Fairhaven died Thursday February 8, 2007 at home. She was the wife of the late Armeto "Mike Casey" Ciacci.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Dutra) Hughes, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. Ciacci was formerly employed as a registered nurse at Kristen Beth Nursing Home for many years.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and St. Anne's Hospital School of Nursing.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her club friends.
Survivors include a son, Michael Rhodes and his wife Kathleen of Fairhaven; a sister, Mary Pavlock of Acushnet; and four grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Peter Ciacci and the sister of the late Leonard Hughes, Lawrence Hughes, Gerald Hughes, Thomas Hughes and Eileen Gonsalves.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
