Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 pm. Late librarian at the Kirstein Branch of the Boston Public Library.

Rita M. (Desaulniers) Dinneen 88 years of Brockton died Wednesday evening at St. Joseph’s Manor after suffering a stroke. She was the wife of Edward G. Dinneen. She was born and raised in Dorchester a daughter of the late C.L. Arthur and Katherine (Casey) Dinneen. She had been a resident of Brockton since 1972 and enjoyed over 30 summers at the family home in Humarock.
Mrs. Dinneen was a graduate of Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart. She received her BA from Emmanuel College and Masters from Simmons College Graduate School of Library Science. She also had attended the Cardinal Cushing School of Theology for the Laity at Providence College,
For 40 years she was a member of the staff of the Boston Public Library which named her the librarian of the Kirstein Business Branch. Mrs. Dinneen enjoyed classical music and held season’s seats at the Boston Symphony for many years. She also enjoyed reading and time at the beach. In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister Sr. Caroline Desaulniers, RSCJ of Albany , NY She also leaves several Humarock and neighborhood friends.
