SOUTHBRIDGE__Jane M.(Nosel) Sklarz, 84, formerly of Harlem St. Worcester, died Wednesday February 7, in Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge. Her husband, John Sklarz, died in 1996. Her first husband, Henry J. Butt, died in 1968.
She leaves a son, Richard J. Butt and his wife Kelly of Southbridge; a daughter Christine M. Powell and her husband Jim of North Carolina; two brothers, Julien Nosel of Worcester and Henry Nosel of Holden; a sister Angie LeBlanc of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Christopher Butt, Meaghan Butt, Erik Larsen, Liza Hutchinson, Sarah Rossetti and Leigh-Anna Headley, a great-grandchild, Cole Hutchinson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Tivenan and a brother, Joseph Nosel. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Zofi (Modzelewska) Nosel and lived there most of her life.
Mrs. Sklarz was a sales clerk fifteen years at the former Lederman’s Bakery in Worcester before retiring. Jane graduated from Worcester Girl’s Trade High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester. She enjoyed sewing and polka dancing.
The funeral will be held on Monday February 12, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, February 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
