Obituary

FALL RIVER … Manuel R. Costa, 81, of Fall River died at home Wednesday, February 7, 2007 after a long illness.
He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Berube) Costa.
He was born in Fall River a son of the late Frank and Virginia (Sylvia) Costa and had lived in Fall River most of his life.
He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Road, Fall River.
He was a truck driver for K.R. Rezendes and he was also a farmer with Costa’s farm Horseneck Road, Westport.
Mr. Costa was a veteran of W.W.II serving in the Army.
Survivors include 4 sons: Manuel R. Costa of Fall River, Gary F. Costa of Lakeville, Glenn Costa of Portsmouth, RI, Brian F. Costa of Fall River, 2 daughters: Anne Marie Rego of Fall River and Gail Melanson of Tiverton, 3 sisters: Mary Costa, Isabell Bonneau, and Virginia Pitta all of New Braintree, MA, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River (508-672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Road, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Sunday 4 – 8 PM.
