Obituary

Rev. Littleton Edward Bryant, 83, of Ocilla died Wednesday, February 7 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, February 10 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla with Rev. Dan Johnson and Rev. Huey Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the Ocilla funeral home.

Rev. Bryant was born December 6, 1923, in Longwood, Florida, to the late Littleton E. and Florence Christmas Bryant. He lived in the community most of his life. Rev. Bryant worked as a Lineman for 23 years with Irwin County EMC. He was a former employee of the Irwin County Road Dept., worked for the City of Ocilla and served as pastor at Anderson Memorial Baptist Church and New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church. He had a passion for farming and was an avid fisherman. Rev. Bryant served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Rev. Bryant is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Lorena Daniels Bryant of Ocilla; daughters and sons-in-law, Ferris & Harold Parrish of Irwinville and Patricia & Jimmy Hobby of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Sonya (Ron) Lundy, Allison (Tony) Smith and Chance Hobby; great-grandchildren; Katie Bishop, Ronald and Bridgett Lundy, Kaylan, Bryant, Amber Smith and Kameron Hobby; sisters, Louisa Griffin of Ocilla and Leoda Alsobrook of Lenox; sisters-in-law, Annabell Daniel of Columbus, OH and Inez Wheeler of Ocilla; brother-in-law, H.M. (Ann) Daniels of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lillian Boyd and Emma Lee Spicer.
