Edward E. Artruc, 86, of 300 Privilege St., died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Maclure) Artruc. Mr. Artruc was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Emile and Elizabeth (Clark) Artruc. He worked as a mold counter for the Draper Corp. for twenty five years, and he was also a custodian for the Davies Vocational School for fifteen years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Artruc was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #11519, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Artruc is survived by a son, Edward Artruc, of Harrisville, three daughters, Claudette Gravel, and Tina Kirchman, both of Woonsocket, and Paulette Marini, of Harrisville, twelve grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was also the brother of the late Eugene Artruc and Henrietta Frappier.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
