Elvira “Vera” (Passamonte) Spadafora passed away at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading on February 7, 2007 at the age of 82. Vera was a homemaker and a long-time resident of Wakefield. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Leo Spadafora and her two daughters, Maria Crupi and her husband Thomas of Wakefield and Paulette Brunning and her husband Gerald of Virginia. Vera was also the dear sister of Domenica White, Fanny Artemchuk, Mary Saunders and the late Santa Evangelista and Francisco Passamonte. She also leaves her grandchildren Peter and Andrea Crupi of Wakefield as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday, February 10th at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Friday, February 9th from 4-8 pm. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
